SONNYRollins, after his show at the Eastman Theatre, during the 2005 Rochester International Jazz Festival. This was the 5th time I had the honor of chatting with Sonny in person. He is one of the last living legendary innovators of this wonderful American art form. He has recorded with the greatest musicians in the history of jazz.  Clifford Brown, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, and Sonny Stitt lead that list. I've found Sonny to be a very gracious person who has always given me encouragement and inspiration for my work in radio.  Thank you Sonny for dedicating your life to this music and God Bless You!
